Our Pesticide Screens
The individual screen measures one compound in your product.
If you need to know the concentration of a single pesticide, then this is the test for you.
Approx. # of A.I.s 1-5
Some compounds cannot be analyzed as part of a large general screen. They may be too volatile (fumigants like methyl bromide or propylene oxide), too water soluble (like glyphosate, phosphonic acid or paraquat) or too reactive (like mancozeb or sulfite).
We offer several different specialized screens, so contact us if you have specialized needs!
Approx. # of A.I.s 1-10
This screen targets the specific compounds most likely to be found in your commodity.
Created by in house experts, the commodity specific screen incorporates global MRLs, the most heavily used pesticides on the product, and high-interest pesticides to develop one test that caters to your product.
Approx. # of A.I.s 150-200
Our most comprehensive screen, containing as many compounds as we can fit into a single analysis.
If you are unsure about which screen to choose or have unclear demands from your customers in other countries, this screen tests for more compounds than any other test we offer.
Approx. # of A.I.s 400-500
Not sure which pesticide screen is right for you?
Choosing the right screen to properly test your product can be a little complicated! Below you will find an easy to use table to help you understand the types of tests we offer and determine which screen will work best for you.
Equipment & Testing
Our pesticide lab houses a variety of analytical instruments to provide quality testing efficiently and accurately. At Safe Food Alliance, we group our analytical methods by the instrument where they are best detected. The Agilent/Waters Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) and Agilent/Leco Gas Chromatography Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (GC ToF MS) make up our GC group and the Agilent Liquid Mass Spectrometry (Agilent LCMS) and Agilent/Sciex Liquid Mass Spectrometry (Sciex LCMS) the LC group. In the case of anionic pesticides like glyphosate, the Thermo Ion Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (ICMS) is used for these specific detections
