Today, DFA of California and Safe Food Alliance sadly announce the retirement of our dear friend and valued employee Debbie Pennell. Debbie served as the Commodity Supervisor for the Stockton and Linden areas. We recognize Debbie for her unconditional dedication, grace, and team-focused mindset. She will be deeply missed, but we can only be happy for her after many years of service. Her accomplishments will always remind us of how important she was.
During Pennell’s tenure as a Commodity Supervisor, she played a critical role in preparing for the season, training hundreds, if not thousands of employees over the years. She served as a champion for collaboration between DFA employees and members and contributed significantly to our culture of producing high-quality products. Debbie leaves behind a legacy as someone well respected by her peers and members.
“Debbie Pennell has contributed many years of experience to DFA, and her achievements will not be forgotten. Her work ethic, devotion, and client focus have been exemplary at the company,” said Maribel Nunez-Alvarez, Senior Director of Administration and Operations. “Pennell has been a mentor to many, and her influence has made an undeniable impact on generations of DFA employees. I want to thank Debbie for all she’s done for the development and progress of DFA.”
Please join us in recognizing her commitment and dedication to the dried fruit and tree nut industry and wishing her all the best.
